Large Early Victorian Turquoise Bombe Ring

Large Early Victorian Turquoise Bombe Ring

  • Details
An exemplary example of a Victorian “Bombe” ring, in 9k gold with a sterling silver face, common for rings of this style. Bombe means literally “bulging or curving outward” and this ring features 30 wonderfully graduated cabochon turquoise that appear to be original. Likely dating to the late 1800’s, rings of this design are extremely collectible and hard to come by in such pristine condition.

The gemstone set face measures 19mm across and 16mm tall and features a lovely 2.5 mm 9k gold shank. Currently a size 8, this ring could be sized down within 1-2 sizes by an experienced jeweler (feel free to inquire about re-sizing fees!). However, we would not recommend sizing up.

Weighing in at 5.2 grams, this is a fantastic and wearable piece of history!
